If you buy gifts at this time of year or groceries, gas, clothes, books etc. during the rest of the year, then you are a perfect candidate to participate in the Scrip program at Kol Emet!

We plan to jump start this year-long program at this holiday time to help you make your gift giving and shopping easier! It will be a great way to fulfill the wishes of all the families Kol Emet supports during the Chanukah Gift Drive which started on November 10, 2008 along with the wishes of your own circle of friends and family, teachers, and more!


What is a Scrip Program?
A scrip program is a gift card fundraising program. You purchase gift cards through Kol Emet to use wherever you plan to shop. Kol Emet receives a percentage of the gift card but YOU receive the full face value of the card.

For example, you plan to purchase Walmart Gift Cards for the Chanukah Gift Drive. Buy through the Kol Emet Scrip program and benefit the recipient and the Congregation.

Let’s say you shop at Barnes & Noble where you plan to spend $50. Before you go shopping, you purchase $50 of B&N gift cards through the scrip program. Kol Emet earns 10% of the $50 you would have spent anyways!

Or, suppose you typically go to Giant twice a month to do your grocery shopping. You can stock up on your gift cards ahead of time through Scrip. You are spending the same money you would pay directly to the store, but you are helping Kol Emet earn some revenue.

Simple Instructions

1. Go to www.shopwithscrip.com
   
   
2. Click on “Not a member?” in the orange Member’s Login area
   
   
3. Create your account
   
   
4. When asked, use the Kol Emet enrollment code (case sensitive): D2D2769618971
   
   
5. Place your order – follow easy online registration directions to establish your account and as a member of the Kol Emet organization.
   
   
6. Print out 2 copies of your order – one for your records and one to hand in to Kol Emet along with a check for the total amount made out to Kol Emet.
   
   
7. We will be coordinating the orders monthly (and more frequently during the holiday season). Your gift cards can be picked up at Religious School or will be held at the office to be picked up at your convenience (please call ahead).
