Adult Education

The adult education programs provide opportunities for adult members of Kol Emet to learn about and better appreciate various aspects of Jewish life, culture and history through a wide range of methods. These include discussion groups, formal classes, seminars/lectures, and speakers. We strive to offer mainly complementary programming to members of Kol Emet, and non-members of Kol Emet are welcome to attend any of these programs.

Adult Education Class with Rabbi Cove (B)
Fridays 9:00a - 10:30a

Originally established by its charter members as a torah study group, over the years this class has gone on to read the entire Hebrew Bible, parts of the Koran, as well as the Christian Bible. We have also read novels by important American Jewish authors. We are now about to read the novel The Finkler Question, an exploration of Jewishness and what it means to be Jewish today. Join fellow congregants in weekly discussions that will challenge you, enrich you, and heighten your appreciation for the intellectual talent in our community.

How you can get involved in building the Adult Education Program: Assistance is always welcome in offering suggestions and topics for future adult events and in coordinating events for our members and community at large. There are multiple opportunities for members to exhibit their special skills in writing, teaching, and organizing workshops on Jewish related topics.
