What is Synaplex?
Friday night..."YOUR WAY."
This idea really does best sum up both the appeal & controversy
- of Synaplex Friday Night Programming.
Kol Emet has now joined a network of synagogues across the US who are
partnering with Synaplex to create outside-the-box events on Shabbat that
allow people of varying needs to come together, and - to come together
at a synagogue.
A typical Kol Emet Synaplex Friday Night will include many choices; choices
in service type, sometimes even a choice whether to attend a service.
Following the service or first portion of the evening, there is usually
a menu of engaging light activity from which to choose offered by guest
experts, scholars and rabbis. From Wine Tasting, to Kabbalah, to Stress
Relief, to Nutrition, to Parenting, to Sports and Popular Culture, to
varied Judaic topics, to Personal Growth & Well Being ...to name just
a few.
Synaplex Friday Nights are about Choice & Community. Each Synaplex
Friday Night will always seek to honor the accepted truth that within
any Synagogue community, there are widely varying individual needs, to
include: spiritual, religious, ritual, cultural and social/secular. The
beauty and gift of a Synaplex Friday Night is that the programming will
always seek to feed and honor all of these personal needs and preferences.
Try a Synaplex Friday Night. Experience Friday Night..."your way."
Come be part of something energizing and good. Come to meet new people.
Come to spend more time with those you already know. Come to feel part
of a community. But do come. We are waiting for you and there are many
who look forward to meeting and knowing you.
